It has always been about providing  a superior collision repair experience. So in addition to sending you live repair photos via text, having a a semi-pro poker player, professional magician, and D-I football player on staff, and actually using email for things like repair documentation and communication, we have a pretty cool history too. 

"Wow, it seems like just yesterday" Doug remarks. "Over 30 years ago, with a wife and 10 month old baby at home, I decided to take a big risk open my own business. I already had years of experience working as an auto body technician, or "metal-man" as we were called back in the day. So on April 1st, 1982 (yes, April Fool's Day) I opened Craftsmen Auto Body."

At first it was just Doug by himself, doing small jobs for family and friends. Then he got busier and busier and eventually hired his first employee, Cleto to help him paint cars.  Cleto would end up working with Doug and the rest of the Craftsmen team for the next 28 years until Cleto retired. 

When asked about why he thinks he has been able to run a successful business for so many years, Doug says "There are a lot of really great people who work here who make it happen every day. I wouldn't be able to do it with out them."
